Battle at Platrand / Wagon Hill

A Boer victory on wagon Hill could have resulted in the surrender of Gen White with 1400 British troops. Wagon hill was the key to Ladysmith but poor leadership on the Boer side and a gallant defence at Wagon Point caused the British to secure their hold on this strategic position.
